Feature update: Guest statement transaction grouping

Written by Dennis | Oct 14, 2025 5:00:00 PM

For group or multi-reg bookings, the display of transactions on the guest statement is now more consistent and informative. Two scenarios are affected:

  • Remove the person from the group, but keep transactions with the group lead.
  • Cancel some, but not all, transactions on a group registration.

Scenario 1 - Remove a person from the group

In this scenario, a person is removed from the group, but their transactions remain with the group lead. That is, the person is removed, but their transactions are not.

In the original multi-person registration, Dilly registered for himself and for Dolly.

And the associated guest statement.

After the original registration was completed, Dolly was no longer able to attend. The registrar removed Dolly from the group, but did not move her transactions.

This resulted in Dilly’s registration appearing the same as it was before Dolly was removed, since Dolly’s transactions were not moved.

However, Dilly’s guest statement now looks different. The individual package builder items are no longer grouped - they appear on separate lines.

Many centers identified this ungrouping as undesirable behaviour.

New behaviour

The new behaviour is to retain the transaction grouping.

After the update, the guest statement now remains grouped.

Scenario 2 - Cancel some, but not all, transactions on a group registration

This scenario relates to how line items appear on a multi-person registration guest statement when only some transactions are removed.

In the original multi-person registration, Jam Dandy registered for himself and for Peachy Keen.

Jam Dandy's guest statement.

After the original registration was completed, Jam and Peachy decided to share a goat rather than rent two. The registrar canceled Peachy’s goat rental.

On Jam’s guest statement, the amount for Peachy Keen was reduced from $425 to $275 due to the removal of the $150 goat rental fee; however, the guest statement does not explicitly indicate the reduction in the description.

New behaviour

The new behaviour shows the reduction as part of the description.
